Acbyre (SKIDMARKZ)windscreen
Just fitted a widscreen to a Kawasaki GT550, the handling has improved due to the extra weight and the handling is unaffected by turbulence at 70 mph, couriers assure me that it fine upto 90 mph.
The screen provides good upper body protection, but the head is exposed (I am 5'7"), will experiment with extension piece or flip and report back.
Fitting took 2 hours (due to my incompetence).

Lowepro Gaiters
These items are meant for fell walking etc.
Just tried out a pair of the above items in conjunction with Altberg Hogg Boots.
They cover the area between the boot top and jeans and extend to the knee making it water proof and wind tight.
Well worth the £12.00 paid, available in two sizes (too big or too small) Large and medium, colour black.
Now two years old and wearing well.

Pinlock Visor
Just fitted one to a Nolan full face helmet, holes are already pre drilled, will report back on how well it works , if at all.
Works well with no distortion of the view.

Altberg Allweather Hogg Boots
Now 3 years old and wearing well, these boots are worn all year round and in all weathers, they are the best fit and most comfortable boots that I have owned. The boot is fully rebuildable.
These boots are now 5 years old and are still looking like new, superb for walking in, still waterproof, cannot praise them enough.
Highly Recommended

Derri MCB Boot
Just bought another pair for the winter (they lasted 3 weeks and fell to bits internally) replaced by the shop, these have lasted 6 weeks and the inner supports, heel counters have collapsed into small sharp pointed pieces, that make walking any distance over 10 feet impossible, have had to cut the lining to remove the plastic, can now walk.
Cant be bothered to take them back a second time, you just learn a lesson and move on.
Used to use this companys footwear all the time (getting on for 30 years), but will buy another make in future.
A real shame, no longer recommended.

Garmin eTrex GPS
A good and useful piece of kit, got me within 100 metres of a campsite, over 100 miles away (from bearings from autoroute).
The battery box needs modifying to prevent the unit failing when you go over a bump, a replacement part is available (easy fit)
Highly reccommended (try Maplin or Dixons for supply)

Oxford Tanktop Map Case
This piece of kit has proved to be a total failure, at a speed of 50 mph the back of the case opens (by slipsteam) and all the documents are strewn along the road, modified it with press studs to give a positive closure, at 60mph the case detached from the tank, narrowly missed by car behind, luckily mobile still in one piece.
It will live up to its name OXFORD LIFETIME LUGGAGE, it will last a lifetime as its not going to be used again.
Not Reccommended

Vespa PX200
The last one has just gone to the great SORN in the sky, 53,000 miles in 5 years and the rear suspension support crumbled , this small capacity vehicle is a remarkable piece of kit and probably cannot be bettered for commuting in the metropolis, so impressed that another has been purchased for long term commuting, they are also capable of covering any distance that you might want to do (where time is not the enemy) average of 70 mpg and a not very onerous servicing schedule.
However no longer made thanks to european legislation, just why did we join up to this group which seems to exist to ban anything remotely useful or more likely they discovered that people actually like them and enjoy riding them.
Highly reccomended just a bit harder to find (but worth persevering) buy one while you can.
